Key West Gauges

Post by Rhodes »

I just bought a 2004 Key West 1720. My tack gauge and fuel gauge does not work. Also there is some moisture behind the gauge lens and some mildew that I would like to clean. Does anyone know how to remove the gauge lens? Also, if I can't get the gauges to working and have to replace, how do I remove the gauge itself? Do I have to remove the console face plate to access? Any info would be greatly appreciated as I can't get any help out of Key West customer support.

Lens are non-removable on most gauges. Not familiar with the Key West dash-console, but you will have to get to the back of the gauge. There you should find a bracket held to the back of the gauge by 2 studs. Remove bracket and gauge will come out through the panel ( may have to disconnect wires first if not enough slack ).

What brand guage or motor are they? Usually the gauges are related to the motor. They aren't terribly expensive to replace.
