Well my boy and I decided to head out and catch the high tide for the day on Saturday. We headed out of Lanark and after a few pinfish we headed to the first spot of the day. Water temp was good at 77 degrees, water clarity was very tainted and stained. worked the 3-5 foot depths with live shrimp under the popping corks and Nathan quickly took the lead.
caught several shorts and two keepers at 18 inches. Nathan had the big trout of the day and let this one go as she looked full of eggs.
Great day on the water.
Had one moment though with the Blue Wave today as I looked down after 5 hours on the water I noticed that the main drain plug was lying right back under the motor in the boat. hit the bilge and started pumping water out. boat held up and didn't drop but about an inch lower in the water. all the way back to the dock and safe with no other issue. Now that's the first thing I check but to know we were that safe after making it home was a blessing.
