St. Marks 5/18

Post by Bofus »

Fished from about 10:00 till 2:00 and caught 20 trout (most 13-14"), one short flounder, and one short ling. Most fish caught on new penny DOA under a cajun thunder in 3-5 feet of water. New to the area and still learning. Good day on the water....the boat ramp, well that is another story! :smt011

Glad you were able to get out. Which ramp did you use? Get there early if you want to avoid that, it can be crowded, but generally people that launch at safe light know what they are doing. We put in at the fort on Saturday. We got there around 6:30 and here were 6-7 boats in front of us. Everyone knew what they were doing and we were on the water in less than 10 min. Good luck

Launched at City of St. Marks ramp. When we arrived about 9:45 or so, we were able to launch immediately. However, upon return it was a zoo!
