Keaton Beach 06/28

Convinced my wife to do a scalloping /fishing trip to Keaton (rare occurance). Scalloping turned out to be swimming, but it was nice to get in the water. Plenty of folks out scalloping, not sure how many were finding anything. Based on the radio chatter some were having success. I don't tend to be the most persistant scalloper, I'd rather fish. Did manage to pick up 5 trout with lots of shorts and sail cats thrown in. Couldn't buy a bite in anything less than 6' of water, but while we were there the wind was fairly non-existant. I imagine the bite improved after the wind came up in the afternoon, but we were headed home by then. I did have the plesant experience of changing a shredded trailer tire alongside the road in 90+ degree sunshine. Just one of the prides of ownership things.
