Got on the water Tuesday 8/5/14 at around 7am. I put in at the lighthouse ramp. Water temp was in the low 80's all day. Wind out of the north at around 7mph to start and changed to out of the east later in the day. Water clarity was 5-6 feet and almost no floating grass anywhere.
I caught one 25" red early in the creeks and was sure it was going to be a hot bite for at least and hour or two. I searched hither and yon for more reds and picked up one here and there while working my way to Cobb Rocks.
Wound up with 5 reds, (two under slot) a jack, some short black seabass, a suntan and some much needed saltwater therapy. It is amazing how being on the water just a few short hours changes my mood.
