Couple weekends ago I saw around 100 redfish on the east end of SGI. Caught seven. Caught 3 last weekend. Caught 0 this Saturday. Wading flats.
What happened? Isn't October the prime time for redfish? Where did the fish go? Bait/mullet were noticeably less prevalent.
On the 1-2 mile beach walk back to he truck I counted 18 redfish carcasses washed up on the beach. Bulls - all 30+

Red tide has been off coast of SGI this week. I went out for my annual birthday fishing trip and saw 2 reds in that range floating off of Dog Island. Did not catch anything to brag about for two days of fishing. But it sure beat being at work.
