Econfina 5/8/2004

Post by Tod »

On the water at 9:30 with my dad and non fish catching buddy Tal. Talk about calm seas, not enought movement to move the boat. I think we fished the same water for 30 minutes then we would move and the same thing. Stopped for lunch at slack tide and we really didn't move then. A little wind and movement after lunch but the bite was slow. Fished west of the mouth and just did not get into the fish. Threw everything in th box but nothing doing. Fished until high tide and ended up with 14 trout 5 keepers and a couple of blue runners. Nice day on the wate once the wind picked up. Always a good day when your playing instead of working.

Nice report. Always good to hear stories of what happens out the mouths of the Econfina, Aucilla, etc. Sounds like an interesting and even productive trip; and a good day on God's wonderful earth!
