My son and I put our jon-boat in at the first ramp inside the state park at around 11am. I helped a man and woman load there yaks onto there truck and they had a good set up,they said they didnt have any luck. We fished some oyster bars as well as goose Island with only hard heads and ladyfish and also a couple of nice sailcats. We were using fresh shrimp mostly,I fished a white and pink grub under a thunder in between cats. We beached it for a late lunch and wade fished for awhile and seen some guys catch some nice mullet wadeing along the Island. My sons arms was hurting on the way home and hes ready to go back. 8)

Sea Fox, that area you fished in is pretty, but we've never had much luck there. It looks like it ought to be full of reds and big trout, but we catch mostly sailcat and sharks over there. Have you ever done any good there?

DixieReb, I did do good there one time on trout. But we went over there mainly to try somewhere new. Kinda wished we would have put in at the end of the bridge and fished around the bridge itself. Maybe next time.
