Spent a few hours on the pier with a friend who was visiting - managed to catch (and release) a 16" red and a 14" flounder. Not much of a haul but it felt great to see some life out there after getting skunked the past handful of outings.
PS - I'm new to the forum. Found it a few months ago and have been lurking ever since. I'm usually on a kayak, have aspirations to go further offshore, and spend plenty of time playing bait boy while introducing friends to pier fishing. Thought I'd contribute a mini-report as my first post!
Cheers!

Thanks for the report. That's a decent catch this time of year. In a couple weeks the water temp should be just right.

Awesome! I spent many summer days fishing that pier at bald point. If you can get your yak around the the north side of the bar, the Reds typically stack up over there on an incoming tide. Good luck and I hope to see some fishing pictures soon!

Congrats you are doing much better than me.
I've been fishing twice this week and gone 0 for 2. I didn't even see any fish
.
Trips were half hearted as getting the boat setup for the season has been the priority.
