A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
I went out yesterday afternoon from St. Marks. It was more choppy that I suspected and the visibility was maybe 5" almost everywhere. In other words i could see my lure maybe 5" below the water. Very muddy/stained. I put the boat behind Palmetto Island to get out of the wind. The clarity was about a foot there. Fishing was terrible. I had finger mullet and no takers, except a sail cat. Total tally for the afternoon, 2 sail cats, and ladyfish bites. What can i say? I'm a lady's man.
"O LORD Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you." Psalm 84:12

Fished behind piney island in the deep channel and along the shore line. 2 ladyfish and 6 smallllllll cats. Beautiful day, bad catching day. clarity 1- 2.5 feet. Some areas we were in 2 ft water and could not see the bottom.
