charts

Post by arcadiainc »

Hi guys-- I want a good chart(s) of the Big Bend area. I bought one at a marina in St Marks and is it so so. Is there good charts available? If so, where?
Thank you,
Bob

This is a good one that I have.

http://www.waterproofcharts.com/florida.html#18e. You can see an online version of it at http://www.bigbendfishing.net/images/maps/apb.gif

In my opinion the best charts you can get are the garmin bluecharts for use with garmin mapsource software.

Tom--Thank you- I read the post mentioning landmarks, yet I do not know where they are. It is frustrating! Oh well! I sure I will learn in time.

Most of the landmarks we talk about can be found on the reef markers and waipoints page off the area charts page. If you have a gps, you can get all the numbers off that page.
