St joe bay scallops

Headed down to st joe bay next weekend. Would like to try scalloping. Any tips? Location?

Put in and look for a bunch of boats... usually around Black's island...

If you have never done it before, zload's advice is best. Looks for the boats. Even better, hire a guide. Should be about $200 for 4 hours for 4-6 people. Much more likely to get some that way plus you then have a better idea where to go and what to do if you want to go again on your own.

Put your boat in at Presnells and ask. They will tell you what they know about where they are finding them.
