econfina 9/1

Post by strawhat »

Just got in from beautiful day at Econfina. Have been fishing here for 10 years and this
was the first time I was the only boat.Others probably believed weather forecast or like more
favorable tides.Have not fished in several months and was glad to see clear water and that the
grass is recovering.Fishing was great, catching a different story. Could not believe we could
not find trout.Catch of the day 3 short BSB,one large lizard fish, one large pin fish.Honestly
do not think we had a strike from a game fish.
Beginning to wonder if fishing is ever going to be good again.Still was great to be on the water
again.

Thanks for the report. I have not fished in a long time, but if I was a betting man, I would say the trout are still out in deeper water. It's still too hot right now, cooler weather will soon be here.

No, I did not see any mullet anywhere. Tide was out but you
usually see some jumping.

Roger that. Went last Thursday to throw the net and saw only 4 jump in a 3 hour period. Thanks for responding.
