need some help in carrabelle

Post by fish reaper »

Hi just finally got moved in at Carrabelle and would really appreciate some help with where is good places to try and fish. I have a 19 foot center console and a 14 foot boat for fishing the shallows. I like to fish for trout and redfish but would also like some bottom fishing for various species. I used to fish out of yankee town before moving here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Trout & reds will be found between St George Island & Carabelle. Just look for grass & or oyster beds. The area is productive all the way west to Apalachicola. The grass flats east in front of Lanark are productive as well. The cuts on each end of St George are also productive on the tide changes. Bull Reds should be moving into the passes before long as the water cools. The bridge can often hold black drum & sheephead. Offshore you'll have to start with the public reefs & as you move around pay close attention to your sounder & you'll find other spots.
