This is a late post, but I was lucky enough to kill my first archery buck two weeks ago in Lafayette County. All of the hard work during the summer finally paid off putting in food plots and mowing trails. We had seen deer throughout the season and had good trail camera pictures, but this was the best buck we has seen up to that point. He walked out on the food plot after a doe and I had a 20 yard shot. He saw me reach for my bow, but was hot on the trail and kept walking. I was able to draw and wait for him to clear past a branch, and then punched my Muzzy through his shoulder. I'm very proud of this buck because of all the hard work and sweat that went in to getting him.
8 pt, 14.5" wide, 16.5" main beam, 174 pounds
