Info needed

Post by tabb »

My brother is in from Las Vegas and would like to put him on some trout or a red.
Fishing out of econfina for the first since my dad past away last year. He loved it at the Ick.
Are the trout in the river after these cool days? Should be warming some tomorrow didn't know
If that would push them back out on flats.
Any info would be much appreciated.

Jr's have fresh shrimp?

Caught 10 keepers several shorts. All on white gulps nothing on shrimp. Everything was in the river.
Fished about 3 hours.

Thank you for the report! These couple of warm days will probably mess them up again :-(

Thanks for the report. I wondered if anything was in the river yet, sounds good.

I don't know if it was warmer temps or tide changed but they definitely slowed down after 1:00.
It was good to get back on the water.
My dad loved it down there so we left a little some of him at the mouth of the river.

I fished at Panacea Friday and you are right, they slowed down about 12 noon over there. After then, all that bit were baitfish and big hardhead cats. :(
