St. Marks - 5/29

Braved the amateurs, took an old buddy and got on the water around 0700. Surprised at how few rigs were at the LH - kinda looked like a Thursday or something.

Went to the same area from last Saturday where the bite was hot - but was slow today. Nothing trolling, a few DS and shorts on CT with shrimp; rootbeer, r/w, candycorn very little interest.

Variable on and off breeze until started really blowing 1200, got wet on the ride back from about 1.5 miles E around 1330.

Wound up with 2 Spanish, 3 keeper trout, several shorts, 3 DS, 1 small shark and a dozen pins.

Caught this 21" on pin hangin out the back. I think it's my biggest.

The lady with the rubber bumper was checking at the dock. About 8 rigs waiting to get out. Flow to get out was steady and went very cordial.

Hoping for a little lay in the wind for Mon/Tue to get back out. Little boat did good in the chop though.

Nice!!

I spent my day hustling some family and visiting friends over to SGI for a beach day today. Thought it would be difficult getting into the state park over there; however, there were plenty of parking... Go figure... It will probably pick up over there tomorrow and Monday.

I'm waiting till Tuesday or Wednesday before getting back to fishing.

I took the family down to the Marine Lab and then to Mash Sands for a little beach'n....I noticed the there weren't many boats at the Wakulla, but the Panacea Marina was pretty full....It looked pretty nasty on the Ochlocknee river....Anyhow..nice trip glad you caught a few...I managed to scare a few needle fish with a fluke on foot....

SG, the list at home is getting longer and longer. The current excuse is that soon it'll be too hot to fish so I have to go now.

After getting royaly burnt up :smt004 at SGI yesterday, I may have to take a break for a day or so. The glare power is a whole lot more off of sand than off the water, I had forgotten. This I will never forget again - believe me!
