St. Marks 6/4 Biggest Trout

Post by rx fisher »

Left the lighthouse at Image
9:30am with my wife and son
went to the West flats in anywhere from 8 to 2 feet.
caught couple of keepers on pinfish and CT,
but most were caught on jigs on the bottom with fishbites.
Hooked up with a 27 1/2 inch almost 6 lb monster. measured at the scales of Jerry's Bait Shop
Ended the day with 5 keepers up to 27 and 1/2 inches, did I say that again.
Great day.
Only caught trout, not one trash fish allday.

Capt Pat McGriff gave us some Samples at the last or next to last
NFGFC, Glitter Eels from Saltwater assasin. more yellow than bone.

fished kind of slow.

Really I could not believe that it was a trout it was hugh.
It was a awesome time with my family, they were a great crew.
So often I'm the bait boy on the water, but this time they all
came together to get the fish on board.

Great, Great day.
