6/10/16 Out of Mash Island

Got to dock around 11:30. Had whole squid (monster size only whole available), cigar minnows and chum. Headed to och light caught jacks, remora and 1 live cigar minow. Threw the cast net and produced a few more small jacks. Started out heading south. Ran up on a big school of bait (no sure what) threw a few casts and did not produce. Got into about 55 ft of water anchored up and caught our limit of gag's in about 2 hours. Caught a slew of shorts. Had to move off spot to get away from the gag's.... Caught a nice cobia but instead of waiting for the gaff I made a rookie mistake and tried to heave said cobia on boat but broke off the line.... Moved around and did some drifts looking for anything red, could not find them. Did a little trolling on the way in but nothing else. Had a great day. Posting pics now.
