I want to connect the NMEA output from my main DGPS unit to 2 fish finders and my DSC radio. Does anyone have any suggestions other than trying to connect four wire together in a massive splice?
This sounds like a recipe for disaster.
I was thinking of something like a powered buss that would amplify the output prior to routing the signal to the different devices.

You don't need a powered bus, just a normal one. You just hook the output from the GPS into one side of the bus and hook up all inputs of the stuff you want to read the output from the GPS to it.
You can only go one way with this though. You can't go from 2 fishfinders back to one GPS or you'll have a crosstalk problem.
