Is it cold or is it warm

Post by Wadey »

It's for me and I'm sure for others the time of year when the cold weather hasn't quite hit the water enough to force our target species to an area upriver that we are confident enough to fish hard, I've been back here in Carrabelle for 6 weeks (shamefully my first post in a long while) I have found reds along 98 in their usual spots early on in that time. No trout on the flats but bucket loads in the mouth of the river albeit shorts. A few reds and trout in the grasses around here as the low (very low) water begins to push up the dry creeks, but no consistency. I spoke with Tide Dancer who gave me hope to continue at areas in the bay and sure enough some reds and trout were still in 6ft over grass. A difficult time between these fish moving up river with both warm and cold days, but hey it's good to at least find some. It's good to be back on this forum and thank you to 'Tide Dancer' for the thumbs up regarding areas to try. I'll be in your marina for supplies tommorow.
