C/T at night

Post by Tod »

Have read the post from Almar about fishing at night and since it is so hot during the day I'm gonna try it. Almar talks about using top water lures that make alot of noise, what about jigs and/or jigs under the C/T. If you are going to use the C/T how do you see it. Is there something out there to put on it to make it visible at night? This will be a first for me, that water kinda scares me at night :o but what the heck.

Tod, there are floats made with lights in them. I suppose, if you were very creative, you could rig a light on a CT. Almar uses top water so he doesn't have to see the bait. He'll hear the fish hit the bait. Then it's just a matter of waiting until you feel the fish, then set the hook, and let the fun begin.

How deep do you fish at night? Close to shore?

using popping cork at night

Post by ALMAR »

I always use top water plugs that make a lot of commotion in the water, when you chug the plug the phos. in the water lights up , you can see your plug and you can also see the fish just before they strike from the phos. in the water. I would think you might get a lot of strikes on the cork and not much on the jig. Until the top water plugs stop working for me I will stick with them, both day and night.
