Pilchard or Threadfin bait?

Post by capt_crano »

I hope to find some Pilchard (aka whitebait; greenback) baitfish, however, I have asked around and no word anywhere...I tend to fish anywhere from Alligator Point to Keaton Beach; Does anyone know of areas I can try to find them? Much Appreciated!

There's a guy that fishes Keaton that always posted he found his in the boat canal. Netted all he could use. Maybe they like the calm water?

Alligator Point marina canal has always been a pretty good place to get them. You just have to be careful around the rocks along the seawalls.
