Catching Trout At Keaton 5/20 Video
Went back to Keaton last weekend. The wind was better, but still blowing pretty good. It seems to be windier this year. Below is a link to a video of our day. I hope you enjoy. The next video will probably be scalloping!!!

Thanks to everyone who has been watching my videos!

Are you serious, are you guys really putting a foot on a might be 15" trout in the bottom of the boat and then measuring him in hopes that he is legal ? That might just be a waste of some of OUR resources. Please do us all a favor and learn how to handle fish the right way before posting your next video. Will In The Wild wrote:Went back to Keaton last weekend. Thanks for the feedback.

Sorry, I might have been a little strong in my message. I understand having fun catching fish and the excitement and all, but we all need to be a little more careful with our catch. Also if that fish you catch first thing in the morning is exactly 15" and you put him on ice, in a few hours that same fish will get you a ticket with FWC. By the way, I don't support PETA and hug trees.

No problem. We can certainly do better. I normally do not keep anything under 15.5" for that reason. We let several go that were just over the line including the one that unfortunately had swallowed the hook. In hind sight we should have cut the line off at the hook and he might have lived.

Enjoyed your videos from KB. Just FYI so you don't run into problems, you may wish to watch the 'no wake zone'. I'm not sure how long you've been fishing KB, but before the hurricane the no wake zone ended after you made the turn around the fishing pier out into the channel markers. The hurricane took out that sign, along with most of the pier. As far as I know, that is still the end of the no wake zone unless they have posted a new sign elsewhere. I've seen the game and fish ticketing folks in the channel before, so you may wish to be more careful. In all likelihood the folks your passing in the canal are thinking the same thing.

Thank you for watching. I am glad you liked it. I have been fishing KB since I was pretty young. I know the no wake zone well. I know I had music playing so you couldn't hear what was being said. I had my carbs cleaned before this trip and my motor kept cutting out while idling which seems to happen after I get the carbs cleaned until I can run it some. While it kept cutting off in the creek everyone was patient with me except for the pontoon boat in the video. I might have got on it a bit early because I was being petty. That's my on me if I did. I thought I passed them at the first channel marker, but it does look like I was a little early.
