Re: prop chatter
Have you checked to see if prop nut is snug to hub of prop (washer's in the correct position) or is it loose on the spline?

Re: prop chatter
If all that is good, you might be able to adjust the shift shaft for the forward position to put a little more pressure on the clutch dog to take up the slack in the gears. I know you can do this on Evinrude's and Johnson's not sure about yours.

Re: prop chatter
I guess I'm lucky, my F-115 has never made any type of prop noise.
Lot's of info on The Hull Truth Forum if you search there. The solution seems to be a new rubber hub or possibly a whole new prop. Definitely not a cheap fix.

Re: prop chatter
Do you know what your motor is suppose to idle at in gear, you might could just idle it up some. most brands give a general speed + or - some rpms ?. my 150 was 1100rpm out of gear and 900 in gear, my Honda is 750 to 800 out of gear

Re: prop chatter
My 115 had a little chatter when idling last year.come to find out my trim tab was just loose enough to vibrate and make the noise. Just saying it's worth checking.
