NFGFC October tournament update! PLEASE READ
In the interest of safety with the current unpredictable path of the storm currently brewing, NFGFC officers have decided to play it safe and CANCEL this tournament along with tonight's meeting.
October's tournament will NOT be rescheduled.
We will issue refunds to the members who have already paid for this tournament.
A November tournament is currently scheduled for November 4th, more info to come.
Please spread the word for any members/friends you may know.
Thanks!

Well you cant please everyone, there have been small craft advisories just about every day this week, if we waited until Friday people would complain that we waited to long to cancel.

I've had more calls / texts in favor of canceling than continuing, so we made the decision in time for everybody to cancel their travel plans.

All of you who want to complain need to be ready to be officers of the club next year or let it die. Call it off too late, catch shiat. Call if off to early catch shiat.

It really was, tide was a few feet higher than predicted, but the wind wasn't as bad as predicted. Probably 10-15 for us this morning. It was picking up when we left.Jumptrout51 wrote:reelbad wrote:More like, GET YOUR A_ _ BUSY CLEANING THAT YARD AND WASH MY CAR BEFORE ANY FOOTBALL.TroutTrent wrote:here's to everyone that campaign for not having the tournament today. Steve, as a longtime director of track & cross-country meets that I must sometimes postpone/cancel due to unpredictable weather conditions - mostly out of concern for participant safety - I feel your frustration. Virtually all the complainers were folks who never lifted a finger to volunteer at or direct events.
My personal financial compensation for directing more than 100 events over 25 years: $00.00
I suspect that as an NFGFC stalwart for so long, you have been in - pardon the pun - the same boat. Thanks for all the work you've done.
