Had the privilege of taking a good buddy fishing Saturday. We only fish together a couple times a year, so I was happy he was able to catch some fish. He managed some trout from the flats and a nice creek red. I managed the north Florida slam, including the baby snook below. Water was ~75 degrees and fish were active in creeks and on the flats.

Nice! Snook must be getting fairly common around these parts, seen several pics of them.

Man that looks like a great day! Taking my boss out Friday. I am really hoping that we can find a few reds.

Nice. I hope we see more snook and I’m glad to see the cold didn’t kill them.

Hope some of those snook are smart enough to stay up in spring fed creeks along with the Wakulla and St Marks where they can survive year around. It'd be neat to have a stable snook population here.

Another good day, Brian. Glad to see that little snooker. Apparently the cold snap didn't get all those little guys. Enough springs and holes around to provide shelter and that one obviously didn't swim all the way up from Tampa Bay.

Did FWE release snook around here?
All the snook caught around here are the same size.

The one I caught in December was 18 inches. Some larger fish have been spotted. You need to get out there and feed 'em some recycled Coors Light so they'll grow. Ppppffffftttt.

That's a good thing. They should have enough warm water to make it through the winters and become established. Pretty cool!
