Yes, gentlemen, it was hotter'n hell at St. Marks. Spent the morning up East River. No reds on gold spoon or top dog. One trout on a DOA scrimp under a CT. Headed out and east towards gray mare and then out to about 10-12 feet. Little sea bass chewing the jigs to shreds. Sharks on cut bait. Moved west to another spot about 1/2 way back to the birdrack, nine feet and beautiful grass. Caught one short after the other on the DOA/CT. Switched to 1/4 oz jighead and a candycorn SWA, and bounced it off the bottom. Ka-boom. There they were. Caught a mess of 18-20 inchers. Kept two for the pan, and headed to the rack about 1:00. At the ramp with no other boats at 2:30. Great day.
Most appreciated! I've been doing real well out of Lanark but I have a day scheduled Wed out of ST Marks. I figured deep was essential but I couldn't decide whether to hunt bait. Jigs it is!
