Keaton Beach 3/14

Went down to Keaton Beach on Saturday along with every other boat in the Big Bend it seemed. The weather was beautiful, so it made sense for everyone to be out.

We got on the water around low tide and fished our way up toward Yate's Creek. Picked up one keeper on the way. Once the tide turned, the fish started biting. We started out with a 14 in fish almost every cast, and moved around until we found our keepers. This was the first time fishing since the new trout rules, so we had to throw a few more back than we used to.

Water temp. was 70 F, fish were caught in 3 ft on gold jerkbaits and shrimp. How to get back down in a few days.

22" trout that was too big and released:
