Could someone explain this Cajun Thunder thing to me
How should I work one and why is it better than other bobbers? Also were is the best place to buy them?
Tie about 1.5-2.0 feet of leader on to the end (or more, depending on depth), then either tip the leader with a grub or a live shrimp. Cast it out like a popping cork, pop, let rest, pop, etc., pretty much like using a popping cork and shrimp combo.
They work better than a popping cork because they have clicking beads that add more sound to the pop, and because they are easier to cast. Also, the ability to work a bait or a grub in really shallow water without catching on the grass or bottom is a plus.
They work well. You can buy them at any Bait and Tackle on the way to the coast.

I'll take a stab at it...
Cajun Thunder: Cork with thin steel wire running through the center. The cork is free to slide up and down on the steel wire. Beads that rattle are attached on each side of the cork. When floating in the water, the cork is at the top of the steel wire. When you pull the line, the cork goes to the bottom of the steel wire making the beads "click". This sounds like a live shrimp in the water.
Vary how you work it based on conditions and what works.
If using a lure.....
Reel a few rounds and then give a good jerk. repeat....
Jerk twice and then reel...jerk twice and reel.
reel then jerk, reel then jerk. etc....
If using live pinfish...
Set out back of boat and leave it alone....if it's windy the waves will cause it to click. If its calm, in between throwing your lure, reach back there and give it a jerk every once in a while.
There are hundreds of other ways to do it.....these are just a few!
