Late post. Didn't get on the water until 9:30, low tide at noon. Used the opportunity to explore around oyster bay. Was a little nervous since I don't have a trolling motor yet, but did find a channel or two that I could navigate. Boxed 5 trout to 19" on live shrimp and a pearl SWA under a cajun thunder. Most came from 5 feet of water next to an oyster bar. No reds today. Back in the truck by 3 pm just in time to hear W's acceptance speech on the radio. Good day.

Pa, I usually put in at Panacea and run east out to the flats near the sand bar, then over to Shell Point. If the wind is too stiff, I'll put in at Spring Creek and carefully run south to Shell Point. The Spring Creek channel can be tricky if the fog rolls in. The channel is pretty tight in some places, and the markers do not coincide with the with their points on my chart plotter.

Thats Ok Bones-
We all help each other around here

I should have known about the abreviation, it just didn't "click" with me.
I got lots of SWA's in my arsenal already, in a wide varriety of colors,
and I use'm the same way...

Thanks wevans -

[ "WHERE DID YOU LAUNCH OVER AT SHELL POINT, I THOUGHT THE MARINA RAMP WAS CLOSED"]

Over the past few weekends, the launch has been open with an honor box for $10. I don't know about the weekdays, but have been there for a couple weekends over the last month or so and it has been open both times.[/quote]
