Where were the wind and waves? Went wade fishing in the afternoon at the park since we thought that the wind and seas would be to rough for the flats boat. After about 30 minutes all that we had was a gentle breeze out of the NNE and smooth conditions. With the overcast afternoon it could not have been better. My friend and I went to our favorite spot and once again got into the wonderful schools of reds. Both of us used grubs, the white w/pink tip worked well. Add a fishbite and it was even better. At the end of the day we had all the reds we wanted to catch along with: trout, grunt, flounder, bluefish, needlefish and a mullet (hook and line!). Did not use the flyrod since the walk back to the truck to switch outfits would have eaten into limited fishing time. However, I am sure that clousers and spoon flys would have worked too.
