Yet another…

Post by Chalk »

Hobby has impaled it’s fangs deep into my loins…Used to fly fish for pan fish and bass growing up…always wanted to get into tying just didn’t have the tools or the internet…

My first attempts at tying…First two look kind of vaudeville, but what the hay…The third one is my attempt at tying a speckled trout fly I liked…The last one is an attempt at palmering maribou and spinning deer hair…notice not hair :o …one out of two ain’t bad…

Cool stuff….I like it, need to see if a bronze bomber will take a liken to it now....

Don't happen to build rods do you? Just a warning, if you don't, it will be next.

Does this mean you've caught all the fish you want?

Looks good. If you're gonna be wading for a while, it should open another avenue for your fishing.

Those hobby fangs in the loins can be very painful (and expensive), I've heard. :-D

If they are some of your first attempts to tie flies , you have done extremely well.

I have tried fly tying in the past, but have the handicap of, fingers like bananas and the concentration span of a butterfly.
I also feel a responsibility to keep all those little Koreans employed, so I buy "ready mades".
However, I am prepared to try homemade freebies, if they are offered.

What do you have in the way of rod building equipment tin can? I've got my whole room full of fishing/rodbuilding stuff here in Tallahassee, but I'm always looking for more.
