Skunked if you don't count the short sea bass and the oyster fish.
God gives me days like that to keep me humble. :hammer:

Ouch. I really appreciate the report. It's helpful & I'd like to know more but I'll understand if you'd rather not re-live anymore of it. What did you try & where?

OK, here's the entire painful day. Put in at 08:30 with 8 dozen live shrimp, wind 10 kts out of the NE. Tide's falling fast. Start out at the western end of Shell Point reef with live shrimp under a cajun thunder and electric chicken SWA on a 1/4 oz jig head. No takers. Head up Spring Creek and work the ends of the bars, nothing. Try the up and down current sides of the bars, nada. Try to find a grassy edge along the island, no good, tide's too low, all the grass is sitting high and dry. Move out to the deep hole half way down the channel. Bounce jigs along the bottom hoping for a flounder, get an 8" sea bass and an oyster fish. Go back to Shell Point reef and work both the east and west end. Had one good hook up but lost him, leader all chewed up, suspect a small shark was the culprit. Head home at 2 pm with 7 1/2 dozen live shrimp.

MJ, that pic was hilarious.

Sure was a pretty day on the water.
Hate it when I say that. Thanks for the details. As I read it I was there too, trying everywhere.
And then I could just see that bushy tail starting to stand up and say not :smt018 today.

Good luck! At least the water has cleared up a good bit since last week. We had a bald eagle overhead fishing with us for a while. He didn't catch anything either. Also watched a FWC helicopter slowly circling several areas around the bay. Couldn't figure out if he was doing duck counts or looking for contraband.
