Checked noaa 5am....3-5, then 2-4. Screw it...I'm going anyway. Left Shields 8:30 am with my buddy Tom. Headed south from the Birdrack, with 1 ftrs from the NE. 13 miles to 30ft...Look'n good so far Trolled and bottom fished...nodda 1-2 ftrs out of the east now 10:30...headed west to 60 ft, K Tower area 15 miles. Caught 5 vermillion snapper(I think, not Red) in 20 minutes. SURPRISE...then 28" gag, on squid, 2 short gags, 24" gag, another shorty....they turned completely OFF at 12:30. Headed NE to 50 ft, at Oar2......5 boats there, we stopped for 15-20 minutes and picked up a 16" flounder. Made one more stop at 40ft....nodda. Back to the hill.....on GLASS, 33mph..cold one in hand It sure was good get'n back out there The weather couldn't have been better...and the seas were GREAT..noaa can kiss my glass........

Good to know they're still out there somewhare, RF.
'Have to believe, the metro guys forcast the seas last and over forcast for CYA purposes. That, and probably the junior guys working NY's weekend.
The Navy has been forcasting 0-2' for the past few days and the next couple, contrary to the NWS.
