Keaton 1/5/5
Meet fihing buddy William at the Perry Wally-Mart to continue on to Keaton. Left the ramp bout 8ish to go find some new ground. About 1 hour later and 60 foot for the first stop. Was a bit rough to anchor in 60 but gave it a try to produce one Grouper and a Grunt, then slowed and pulled to go find somewhere else. Came upon some really good looking, or nasty cause tried to drift it and got cut off, well have to investigate that a later day when we can anchor on it. Came back into 50 where it was not as rough and could not find the Grouper, managed the Grunts and Sea Bass, still a good day on the water was able to run about 32 out and in.

Yes, was it enough yet, do not think so. When we were in the channel I pushed it up and 38 on GPS @ 5100 was it, and this was with 2 people and gear with min fuel. I should have gained 300 - 400 RPM by raising but never happened.Sawbones wrote:Did you raise that engine yet?
Has flow but no pressure, even with the livewell off. Maybe have to wait and get a pressure pump.GC wrote:How did the hose work out?
120 Quart, not quite big enough to lay in.Sir reel wrote:That's one of them 6ft coolers ain't it

Yeah DS, nice report. At least y'all didn't get beat up in your efforts. Even with a light catch, sounds like a good and fun trip for ya's.
'Neighbor went out of Carrabelle yesterday, but I haven't talked to him, yet.
'Woulda gone myself, but had benness in THL and took 'What's her name' to see 'The Aviator' (part of the business). The movie was fair to good with the gal, Cate Blanchett doing a great Katharine Hepburn, and Leo DeCaprio as Howard Hughes, only a fair portrayal.
Oops, off the subject ther a little bit. Good luck on yer next trip.

I doubt you'll see much of an rpm change with just raising the motor. You'll probably have to drop a pitch in your prop if that's your goal. I would expect it to plane a little faster, porpoise less, and trim out easier.
