Spring Creek 1/22/2005

Post by 2true »

The only thing that was schooling was us. I got one pin at a hefty quarter ounce. :lick:

Everyone we saw out there was having no luck, except one guy who was taking off to the grouper hole. (He said he was catching his limit out there) Umm can I hitch a ride? :smt023

I need to do myself a favor and be patient until spring. :smt015

Nice try 2true! Good to get out there and thanks for the report. But I thought you said in an earlier post that you were hangin' it up for the winter!? Oh! It did feel like spring today!

What'd you try? Were the BBF folks schoolin' around litt's secret redfish hole?

Shrimp Cajun Thunder. I saw some boats but got confused on the marker at the mouth of Spring Creek.

I know, I know I said I wasn't going to go anymore. I am addicted what else can I say?

Keep going.....I will take winter over anytime of the year for trout and redfish....Structure, weather and tides once you connect the dots it will happen....Look for holes and shell bars/bottom around points in creeks...Fish from 1000 in the morning on...Look for fish on a westerly bank that are taking advantage of the rising sun heating the water as it rises...Trout tend not to follow the rules sometimes..meaning if you have tidal movement before 1000 they won't bite because they are still in bed trying to stay warm....Keep at it....
