Launched the boat at the public landing around 8:00 a.m. Ran south out of the canal towards Big Grassy Island. Fished the rising tide in 2'-3' of water. Managed to catch 1 - 24" trout on a chartreuse catch 2000. After the water rose, eased up in Crooked Creek and was able to catch a 19" trout on a green and silver Top Dog jr. in one of the deeper holes.
Around lunchtime headed north to Little Spring Warrior Creek and was able to catch a few puppy reds on gold spoons and chart. catch 2000, by anchoring in the mouth of the creek and casting around the oyster bars.
Water is clear with temps still in the low 60's. Saw lots of mullet and thousands of ducks. Boat ran great and it was a beautiful day. Can't wait till next time.
