Tampa/Clearwater

Anyone have any knowledge of the Tampa Bay/Clearwater area. I'm headed that way the week after our July club tourniment. I'll probably stay inshore (small boat) and target FISH! Any information is appreciated.

Suggest you get with Steve Stinson. He is from there and knows where to go and how to fish it.

I've done lots of fishing a bit north of Clearwater... You'll find trout and Tarpon around a place called Fred Howard Beach in Tarpon Springs,,, you'll find snook and Reds in the area as well and especially up Anclote River... you can have lunch at the Sponge Docks at the mouth of the Anclote. You can go out to the inside of Anclote Key and look for tailing Reds at low tide, or go around to the outside and look for cobia along the beach and cruising behind rays.
