Saw one up close a couple of weeks ago. It's a nice rig. However, there's nothing in it. No decks, no storage. It would be a good boat for you to customize. The biggest hurdle would be mounting a trolling motor on the front. Might have to go with the trolling motor/trim tab setup on the back.
What was I supposed to do today?

I read that, I wouldn't touch panga marine, but I felt that pang.com wasn't the bad guy....Their mention was from a standard member from what I could tell.....Blasphemy and defamation of a competitor is your sign to run, but when they spout nonsinking and anti corrosion tanks, that's a sign to get in a car and speed away…Not saying it may never happen, but I doubt a new company is going to do that, if so they should start a new company selling tanks as well…..

I like it….As far as trolling motor…Who needs one, when I have a paddle and you... :wink: :lol:

BTW if one of those guys shows up here and starts, it won't last long.... 8)

I don't know what the fishing is like in Bay County. But it seems like that boat would be pretty 'tippy' with its skinny beam in the following popular fishing situations

1) Drifting for trout
2) Anchoring on bottom for deep dropping

But its a very popular boat worldwide. I saw a fishing show once where they were several miles out in the Pacific, fishing at night off that big Go Fisch thing, and a couple guys in Pangas show up out of nowhere.

I have rode and driven a Panga, it is a very stable boat "surprise the ... outta me to" something about the design makes it rise and fall more than roll :smt017

I heard they were designed by an international group of experts to provide stable, reliable, cheap fishing vessels to developing nations. :thumbup:

I am biased as a Cape Horn owner but the Cape Horn 17' and 19' Offshore models are the same price or cheaper and give you a lot of stability offshore. The 17' (mine) only draws 8". I was shopping this time last year and will admit that the Pangas are just too cool looking. But for stability and the long haul I would look at the Capes.

I like my sea pro. When I lived in the cayman islands there were some banks about 12 miles offshore and we would see Jamaican boats that we not much more than dugout canoes out there. The Jamaicans would drive those boats all the way to Jamaica. Not me. I was in a 42' Post.
