Hard to tell, it's not divinycell.....Looks more like woven roven, mat and resin

Would be nice to be able to tell. This manufacture states "All transoms and decks on are cored with Thermolite Divinycell, assuring no rot and years of worry free enjoyment." but does not say when that process started. This pic is from a 2002 model on usauctions. Could very interesting to know what that material is, sure does not look like all glass and resin.

That might be true, but that's a picture of a chine (bottom edge) the foam generally doesn't run all the way to the bottom either.....Composite foam is only strong in one direction, it still has to have layers of glass to give it strength.... A Mold, gel coat, fiberglass/mat/resin layered in, composite foam and more fiberglass and matt......Woven is alot cheaper than biaxial fiberglass and it takes alot more to make it strong enough, so the impacted are looks alot like plywood, because they used many layers to make it strong....I would bet your right arm on it

Looks like end grain cut balsa core to me. A very common coring material for both decks and hulls.

Looks like that 14ft mako that bit that 250lb tarpon in half the other day !
