Good day :-D

Got out on the flats at 8:30 immediately on the fish. Caught around 80 trout 12"-13" :smt012 Still a lot of fun! All were caught in 5-7 feet of water using Cajun with root beer colored jig tipped with live shrimp. Fish were very aggressive. Went out the channel past #1 turned to the north. Went close to the oyster bars about 2 miles out. Temperature was 63 in the morning and 67 by 1:00

Wanted some keepers so started looking for other spots. Found a ledge that went from 3 feet to 15 foot in about 20 yards. Caught a 20", 19" and 15.0111". :P I really think if we would have started here we would have done great.

One final thing, the fish were really hot an hour before and 2 hours after low tide :smt023

Had my Dad (Missouri) and my two boys, what a great day!

Tried to catch some Red's, my 14 year old has never caught one. Guess we don't know how :smt006 Any advice would be appreciated.

If your beating the banks, creek mouths, and oyster bars while trout fishing, the reds will show up! I promise.

Wow, 80 trout. That sounds like a trip from days gone by. I bet that was fun. On the chart, that area with the bars really looks like it holds fish. There should be reds in there sometime.
