Oh man what a day...

Post by Jumptrout51 »

Started at Cobb Rock drifting north ... I lost count of fish after the first 30 minutes. We kept 10 from 18 -22". We released atleast 125 from 13-24".
The best rig was cajun thunder with bone diamond grub. We also caught them on jerk bait, redfin, chugbug, straight grubs, etc. etc. :P :P
We fished 8-9 different holes catching good fish in every place we fished.
Next NFGFC Tournament 4-9. Lookout, here I come.

Aucilla said it best, at 2am no less.
-although I felt Rockets pain. Kids are the most fun I've ever had.
:smt010 That translates into even less fishing with two of them, until they're big enough to go. Then they'll make up for it!

Question: When you say "holes," do you mean just some you drifted up on, or over? Or do you mean marked spots? And did you ever anchor at these holes, or go around and drift over them a second time?

Just curious! Thanks!

When I say holes i'm talking about marked spots.
We did not anchor but drifted some of them twice. We were catching so many we decided to try different places to see what was going on. There were fish in all the places.
Don't know the temp or depth. Bottom machine was broken on CD's boat.
Depth would have been 4 feet and less however.
We knew that from sticking rods in the water. It was too stained to see the bottom in 2 feet.

'Think I missed yer report first time around, nice one that it is. It should stir the blood of a few here to get out there and 'get some'.
The next 3 days look good for it- A little cooler and breezy today and better tomorrow and Thursday. But, like ever'body's been saying, all the fresh water mighta turned'um off. 'Just have to check it out.
