We got down to the Fort around 2:45 and were greeted by a few folks waiting to load and launch. At 3:00, we were on our way
We decided to go east and try a few spots over near the Rock Garden. There was already an "armada" there with most boats fishing inshore in what I guessed to be the 2-3 ft. range. I decided to start in 5-6 ft. and move in closer with the drift. First cast landed a keeper trout. Second cast, another. This went on for a few minutes before the shorts got in on the action. After 10 minutes, we had 4 keepers in the cooler and they were still biting. The wind was quite steady to say the least (15-20) so I decided to take of the CT and go with just a jig. They continued to bite until we got into the 2 ft. range, then they just quit. We ran back out to 5-6 ft. and they started again.....this drift the spanish got involved. Over the next hour we made two more drifts catching fish on each pass. At 5:00, we had our 3 person limit, so we decided to head home. The ride back in was both windy and wet!!!!! Back at the ramp at 5:30 to wait our turn.........All in all, it was a great day considering we only fished for about 2 hours. It was much more windy than what the forecast called for in the afternoon, but not unbearable. Visibility was 2-3 ft. and the water temp was about 70. Most of the trout were caught on SureKetch Firetail grubs and Gotcha pink/white fished with/without a CT. The green DOA seemed to work well also if you could keep the spanish off. They wouldn't touch the white. The electric chicken worked well also, but the shorts seemed to like them most. Caught a few pins, which was also a good sign, but no takers. The trout ranged from 15-19" and the spanish were 15-18"...

Besides, I can't find any place in the Bible that sez its a sin to have a boat hooked behind an F-150 in the church parking lot. I've also found that going to an early (8:15) church service will get ya out of Tallahassee and on the water by 11:00. 
Clearer water was the key last Wed... sounds like it's gettting harder to find due to the windy conditions lately.
