Limit....St. Marks Friday....04-22
Put in at the lighthouse around 7:00. Ran down east of the lighthouse toward grey Mare. Must have hit it just right. After 2 cut offs, and one run-away line snapper, I applied the steel leaders. Immediately started picking up up Spanish. By 10am, I had limited. I had caught at least 45 fish and kept 5 Spanish and 5 keeper trout. During that period, almost every cast resulted in a hook-up. It was awesome. Didn’t seem to matter what color I.threw SWA’s ….chicken bone, orange sparkle and a silver phantom, and the old reliable candy-corn 5â€

Thanks for all the replies, the fish were all caught in 4 feet no more, no less.
It was a strange feeling having my limit of trout before noon, I felt lost.
I still had a dozen live shrimp left and 9 hours of daylight, and lunch to eat. About 12 or so, the wind picked up and I headed back to the ramp.
Even though the weather was bad this weekend, I could feel the call of the Gulf and I could feel a strong urge to take the boat for a ride and wonder if the fish would still be out there.... maybe next weekend...
