A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
While the catchin was slow, the company and good friendship was excelent The weather just did not want to cooperate with us and made the fishin tough. We did have a couple boats brave the rough seas, but they just couldn't get on the Trout but they did find a bunch of short Reds and a couple keepers also With the low tide being during the night and a nip tide during the day, we would have had a tough time catching fish most anywhere. We did finaly have enough caught buy Sunday afternoon to fry up a fish dinner for all and not have to worry about bringing any back in the ice chest The final tally was 7 keeper Bass, 11 Bream, 1 Channle Cat "caught 2 miles off shore" and 2 Reds I think we killed about a million noseeums, but left them with a few billion more the marina ran out of beer by Sunday afternoon also We will be back for another trip next year cause we know this was not a typical catch for the area and the folks we met where all good folks and tried ta help us as much as was possible I did fish from 7 to 9:30 Monday morning "lowest tide we seen there" and caught and released 7 Bass "which proves that the tides and weather was the main factor to me"
