Lake Jackson 5/14

Put in at the end of Crowder Landing. Fished 5:30 until dark. Caught a total of twelve bass and a giant mudfish. Early on picked up the bass fishing a junebug worm Texas rigged in the isolated grass clumps out in the open water. Moved to the far end of the lake and fished the shoreline. Picked up a few more little ones on the same texas rig, and zoom superfluke. 1/2 hour before dark tied on a buzzbait. They were wrecking that thing, but were hitting short, shoulda used a trailer hook in retrospect, but was running out of daylight. Picked up three on the buzzbait and missed one that would have been a good-un. Good day on the water, biggest about 3.5 lbs.

Good deal. I need to go back to Jackson. Haven't fished it in 6 years.

My fondest fishing memories when I was growing up was at Lake Jackson. Some more big trout (bass) there.
