Growing up texas rig worm fishing for bass, I like to fish for trout using a jig without the Cajun thunder or popping cork, because I get to feel that first pickup of the bait and feel I have more to do with the hookset than when fishing with a cork. I usually drag a DOA under a CT behind me and bump it or twitch it occasionally. It seems that except for a couple of trips this spring it takes us a little longer to get a limit than some report. I just wondered if there are others that fish and feel the same that I do.

I fish with jigs quite a bit and catch fish that way. I'll usually drag a pinfish of a jig under a CT behind the boat. As for not catching fish as fast as others thats just part of the game. Some days the radio chatter says everybodies got a limit and I'm skunked
. Other days its the other way around . Heck, one day last year I caught more fish than the local "expert guide at Keaton Beach".
