How many really isn't important. The final outcome was. Sir Reel should be able to tell the story much better than me. I was too busy catching fish to remember details.

"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
This turned out to be long...serves him right!
OK… the report goes like this. I’ve been looking forward to a chance to fish with Tom ever since I’ve been in the club, but until now he’s been lucky enough to avoid the trauma and most certainly not in the same boat for a tournament!
Fate finally caught up with him when the recent draw tournament put him in the position of drawing (purely at random according to the director
) my name as his captain. Now, although he wasn’t at the top of the leader board, he was in fourth place (one place behind the tournament director
) well positioned to be in striking distance of the top or at least to move well up with a good showing for the Club’s Angler of the year award.
Then the difficult draw (purely at random according to the director
). With every participant who walked to the table and drew a captain you could hear Tom quietly chanting… “let it be Budâ€

Actually, I am tied for second with 2 boys named "Taylor" right behind Jeff Trent.
I enjoyed fishing with Bud a lot. He was a hoot to fish with and was gracious host.
He did have one of the details wrong though. We caught all the trout on ONE drift. Our second and third produced only misses. Bud can tell you all about the several strikes I had that almost liberated my rod from my hand. It was pure luck that I was was the one catching fish, because I highly doubt that the ct color made the difference.
Sorry about the line in the motor, but I think we got it all out.
If you ever have a chance to fish with Bud, you won't regret it.
I'd also like to thank Birddog for posting his report on Friday that solidified my decision on where to fish on Saturday.
