Aucilla 8/2

Post by tin can »

Put the boat in at Aucilla before it was good light. 45 minutes after daylight it started raining. Rained until 1245. But, I had my Frog Toggs.

Caught 5 keeper trout, all on Cajun Thunder, various depths of water. No pattern was established, other than at least 5 miles between fish. Covered 35 miles to catch my 5 fish. :-?

It could be tough Saturday.
What was I supposed to do today?

Eerman, That's your tourney partner... he'll be draggin you around in the lightnin and slopping you around in the hail and rain come Saturday. :smt014

I don't even know why y'all gonna try to catch fish then... what with the secret crew from Southwoods gonna take it all and leave you and the tinman still bailing.

You should consider staying home with Madeline Grace and Momma!

If you'd stay still, instead of Bass'n and Gass'n, you might catch some fish...Maybe we should start calling you, "Ridey Tidey".... :smt043

All of the guides will tell ya " if you don't catch a trout on a spot in 15 minutes, they ain't there". I made several 30 minute drifts, giving the little fishies every chance in the world to bite. The fish are scattered, and few and far between.

Eerman, Rodbow's tryin ta psyche ya out. I ain't sayin we'll catch fish Saturday. I certainly ain't sayin we'll win. But lets see what the secret crew from Southwoods has to say at 2:30 Saturday afternoon.

MJ,
That's exactly what I was planning on wearing on Saturday...plus the white shirt of course. Guess I'll stick to something more standard now that the surprise is ruined. Maybe my Roddy Piper kilt?
